Pregnancy Symptoms

The most common pregnancy symptom is a missed period, but it is by no means the only sign. Each pregnancy is unique, and every woman will experience different symptoms at different times. If you are indeed pregnant, you may experience any of the following:

  • Nausea
  • Aversions to certain foods
  • Cramping/bloating
  • Darkened nipples
  • Excessive fatigue
  • Mood swings
  • Frequent urination
  • Spotting

If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, in addition to or in place of a missed period, please contact the Walker Area Pregnancy Support Center today to schedule an appointment for your free pregnancy test.

How Does a Pregnancy Test Work?

Our pregnancy tests detect human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), the hormone released during pregnancy. These tests are able to detect the presence of hCG as early as eight days following conception. As the pregnancy matures, the amount of hCG in the body increases, which makes it progressively easier to detect through a pregnancy test. All tests are performed in our center, and our staff will be on hand to discuss your results and answer any questions you have at the conclusion of your appointment.
